I haven't blogged in a while because I have been working really hard at my church. I am the lead guy on a building project. It is something we have been working on for a while. Its amazing how God has really been closing the doors we should not go through and opening the right doors we should go through. Its an amazing process I will blog about it more later. Our church is called Crosspointe Community Church and we have a very loving congregation of around 200 people. We started with just under 100 people about 6 years ago and have doubled in size. A big problem has always been our seating capacity. We fill up and because of lack of seats, we seem to thin back out. We currently want to really be a church in the community and have had many events this summer in our community trying to show the love of Jesus in a practical way. We currently rent from Gateway business center which used to be an old mall and our space we rent has its limitations. But we have property and have signed on a note, hence starting the building a church process. I hope anyone who made read this will keep us in prayer because it is going to be a very tenuous process and we still need to raise about $100,000 in order to complete the project (we have a loan of $850,000 to get it going). I read in the paper the other day that Earth Fare grocery store is opening up in the old Goody's location right here in Chattanooga, Tennessee. It will feature natural and organic foods as well as a small eatery much like Greenlife in downtown Chattanooga. Chattanooga continues to be a very "green" city and the people here really support these types of businesses. I am trying to put up a display in these stores or even possibly a small Green Mattress Company kiosk type store in these locations. I hope they will allow me to do it at some point.
